Extra comfort with clever recliner chair features
Modern recliner chairs have rapidly evolved over recent years and now often incorporate many innovative features that promote indulgence, convenience, comfort and, above all, deliver a superb user experience. Features included in our premium recliner chair collections include:
- Ergonomic design – the standout feature of all our recliners is that they are sublimely comfortable and supportive. Each design is carefully handpicked to ensure that Fabb customers get accurate support to the head, neck, shoulders, spine and back
- Pocket sprung seats – to give you the ultimate support when you’re upright and reclined
- Foam padding – all our recliner chairs are packed with high grade foam, designed for luxurious comfort. The contouring of the seats, backrests and armrests are all carefully created so they support your body perfectly, allowing your spine to rest in its natural alignment
- USB ports – many of our power recliner chairs come with handy wireless charging points, meaning you can recharge your devices without needing to move from your super comfy horizontal position at any time
- Upholstery choice – Fabb’s range of recliner chairs are available in 100% premium leather, or a variety of hardwearing fabric options. Best selling colours include grey recliner chairs, with black, blue, brown, and cream recliner chairs making up the majority of choices
You would be wrong to think that investing in a recliner chair will cost the earth. As the recliner chair market has developed, prices for both power recliner chairs and manual recliner chairs have been curtailed. Fabb’s handpicked range of recliners are chosen especially for their style and value for money, with many of our recliners checking out at similar prices as a static chair.
Health benefits
A good recliner chair will help to soothe muscles and joints and will promote proper blood circulation. The careful design also limits the chances of developing any pressure sores. The supportive structure combined with thick padding helps to prevent back injuries, allowing the body’s posture to relax comfortably and can even be used, in some instances, in place of expensive treatment.
Unbeatable durability
Whether you’re going for a modern recliner chair or a swivel recliner, all our collections are built to last with high quality materials. The lifespan of a quality recliner will often be a similar timeframe as a static sofa – around seven to 15 years – depending on how much use they get.
Our suppliers provide their own warranty which, depending on the make and model, are applicable for a fixed number of years and may be split between the recliner motor and the battery warranty. All Fabb furniture also comes with a free, peace of mind, lifetime guarantee.
Recliners of all sizes

Different types of recliner mechanisms and their benefits
It’s worth doing your homework before diving straight into the first recliner you try and snapping it up. Recliners not only cater for different sized body shapes, they also have many options as to how much maneuverability you require. Some offer a simple, one reclined position, while others have footrests and headrests that operate separately from the main chair and can be finely adjusted by the touch of a button to the perfect position for you. Take a look at the options…
Electric recliner chairs
Power electric recliners have a built-in motor which provides controlled and gentle movements, limiting the potential for wear and tear. Models come with either a single or dual motor which moves the adjustable parts of the sofa using a button (usually sited on the side of the chair within easy reach). Recliner sofas allow you to recline the back support and, often at the same time, higher the footrest, leaving you in a fully reclined and supported position. Some power recliners offer a powered headrest option, giving another variant to adjust so you can move your seat for maximum comfort and relaxation. Choices of powered recliner chairs include the options to have powered headrest and/or footrests, in addition to the recliner itself. It's important to maintain your recliner chair in order to maximise its lifespan with regular cleaning and dusting. The electrical and motor components should be inspected at least once a year.

Lift & tilt recliner chairs
A lift & tilt recliner chair can be a great solution for anyone who finds getting in and out of a chair challenging. Our lift and tilt chairs are especially designed for individuals that can benefit from extra assistance when transitioning from a standing to a seated position and vice versa. Our luxurious lift and tilt recliners, also known as rise and tilt chairs, are designed to be super supportive and comfortable. They are built with sprung bases and premium grade foam to accommodate long periods of sitting and you can opt for leather or fabric upholstery.

Manual recliner chairs
Manual recliner chairs require the user to move a lever or put pressure on a part of the chair to maneuver it into and out of a reclining position. Manual recliners have much less maneuverability than electric powered chairs, however because they don’t have a motor, they are much easier and lighter to move around.

Recliner chair styles to customise your relaxation
Recliner chairs are no longer lumpy pieces of furniture that take up enormous amounts of space. Our luxury recliner chair collection offers a variety of designs and styles to suit all tastes in room décor. Traditional recliners had no legs (as the base was used to house the motor). However, today’s designs offer a variety of styles, including elegant, leggy recliner chairs and sophisticated swivel recliners. In addition, to great designs to pick from, you will need to decide what type of upholstery covering you require. Options include luxury microfibre, weave and velvet fabrics which are all specifically chosen for their high ‘rub count’ (assessment of how hardwearing a fabric is; the higher the score, the more hardwearing the fabric is). Or, for the most durable chair covering of all, you’ll be looking at our premium leather options.

Indulge in comfort
As we’re talking laid back here, let’s look at how we can design an entire living room around a modern recliner that promotes indulgence, comfort, and convenience. Aesthetics matter when it comes to choosing any piece of furniture and no less so with a recliner. There’s plenty of options to make your recliner chair the central theme within your living room. You may want to consider a swivel recliner, which instantly gives you the ability to 360 your chair to whatever orientation you choose.

Shop the look
How about pairing your new recliner with a matching side table? To decide on how to make that match, pick out the main colours of the upholstery to give you a steer. Alternatively, take the materials used in the legs or base and match these to your living room furniture. If you’ve already got a suite in the room you’re installing your new recliner, simply match some scatter cushions and spread across all seats, bringing your older suite and new recliner chair together.
